Meet Jules

Emotional-Behavioural Therapist

Founder of Elevate Therapy

With close to 10 years of experience working within a number of industries in Aotearoa specialising in human behaviour, I believe positive change starts when we have the ability to lead with empathy and compassion.

The inspiration behind launching Elevate Therapy stems from an inner calling, which ignited a deep-seated passion for helping individuals navigate their emotional journeys and achieve a greater sense of well-being.

Elevate Therapy is a place where you're more than just a client – you’re a unique individual with incredible strengths and untapped potential.

My purpose is to help you discover and embrace that potential, support your emotional well-being, and guide you through life’s challenges. Together, we’ll focus on nurturing your growth, fostering resilience, and empowering you to thrive in every aspect of your life.

Every step of the way, I am here to support you in creating the fulfilling, balanced life you deserve.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE HUMAN?

It’s a simple question, just a few short words, but it unwraps the bundle of complexity, contradictions, and mystery that is a human life.

It’s a question we have been asking for thousands of years. Priests and poets, philosophers and politicians, scientists and artists have all sought to answer this ultimate puzzle, but all fell short, never able to fully capture the vastness of the human experience.

The era of technology is starting to leave its imprint on the way we behave. It seems like we have forgotten how to be human. Our thought patterns are hard-wired into place by the time we're 35 years old. Our reactions, habits, emotions and behaviours happen automatically because our brains are used to them.

So, how does it feel to be Human?

We All Process Emotions and Experiences Differently

Learning to name and identify the emotions you experience will help shape you and what you're feeling which in turn will help you to understand how to move through it.

Feeling Stressed?
Confused?
Overwhelmed?

Many of us tend to use the terms stress and overwhelm interchangeably, but this does not serve us well. There is a growing field of neurolinguistics who are teaching us that language doesn’t just communicate emotion, it shapes how and what we’re feeling.

Stressful situations impact our mind, body, and emotions. However, while our body may react strongly to stress, our emotional response is more closely tied to how we think about the situation and whether we believe we can handle it, rather than the physical sensations we experience.

Feeling Lost?
Lacking Purpose or Direction?

Life is filled with uncertainty and worries about the future. While many things remain outside our control, our mindset is key to coping with difficult circumstances and confidently facing the unknown.

Over Stimulated "Always ON"

Being "always on" leads to increased stress, anxiety, and depression. The constant barrage of notifications, messages, and information overload can overwhelm the brain, making it difficult to focus, relax, or recharge.

Connect on a Deeper Level?

Drawing on epigenetics, quantum physics, neuroscience research, connecting with spiritual wisdom to show how people can experience a more meaningful life.

To Feel Human is to Embrace the Complexities and Messiness of All Our Emotions and Experiences.
